Privacy Policy

Last updated 31 July 2026

RepoDrop is a small independent project that publishes one free, open-source developer tool per day. This page describes exactly what data is and is not collected. It is written to be accurate rather than comprehensive-sounding.

The short version. The website has no accounts, no tracking pixels and no advertising. Nothing is sold or shared with advertisers. If you comment on a post and receive an automated reply, the only thing stored is what is needed to send that one reply.

The website

repodrop.dpdns.org is a static site. It has no login, no user accounts and no comment system.

The newsletter

If a newsletter signup is offered and you enter an email address, that address is used for one purpose: sending the daily tool. It is not sold, rented or shared. Every message includes a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing deletes the address.

Social media automation

RepoDrop publishes to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook using each platform's official API, through self-hosted software. Two things follow from that:

You can stop receiving these at any time by replying to ask, or by using the platform's own block and message-control settings.

What is never collected

Your rights

RepoDrop is operated from Germany, so the GDPR applies. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data held about you, and you may object to processing. Requests are handled within 30 days. Because so little is collected, most requests can be answered immediately.
